Global Spiritual Conference

• The Madhya Pradesh government organised the Global Spiritual Summit in Ujjain on August 27.
• The event was organised by the state tourism department. It is supported by the Ministry of Tourism.
• Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated the summit.
• Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also attended the inaugural ceremony.
• Over 300 guests attended. These included spiritual gurus, thinkers and global visionaries.
• Prominent spiritual guru Gauranga Das delivered the keynote address.
• The aim of the summit was to promote spiritual tourism. It also sought to preserve India's cultural heritage.
• The event encouraged discussions on responsible hospitality. It was designed for the benefit of the tourism sector.
