Inderjit Singh Bindra has passed away

  • Inderjit Singh Bindra passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 84.
  • He was a former president of the BCCI and a key figure in ushering in a new era of cricket marketing in India.
  • He served as the BCCI president from 1993 to 1996.
  • He also served as the president of the Punjab Cricket Association for over three decades, from 1978 to 2014.
  • In 2015, in recognition of his contributions, the PCA Stadium in Mohali was renamed the I.S. Bindra Stadium.
