प्रश्न के उत्तर दिए गए गद्यांश के आधार पर दीजिए। जिन कर्मों में किसी प्रकार का कष्ट या हानि सहने का साहस अपेक्षित होता है, उन सबके प्रति उत्कंठापूर्ण आनंद उत्साह के अंतर्गत लिया जाता है। कष्ट या हानि के भेद के अनुसार उत्साह के भी भेद हो जाते हैं। साहित्य मीमांसकों ने इसी दृष्टि से युद्धवीर, दानवीर, दयावीर इत्यादि भेद किये हैंं सबसे प्रचीन और प्रधान युद्ध वीरता है, जिसमें आघात, पीड़ा क्या मृत्यु तक की परवाह नहीं रहती। केवल कष्ट या पीड़ा सहन करनें के साहस में ही उत्साह का स्फुरित नहीं होता। उसके साथ आनंदपूर्ण प्रयत्न या उसकी उत्कंठा का योग चाहिए। सारांश यह है कि उसकी उत्कंठा में ही उत्साह का दर्शन होता है। केवल कष्ट सहने के निश्चेष्ट यान में नहीं। दानवीर में अर्थत्याग का साहस अर्थात उसके कारण होने वाले कष्ट को सहने की क्षमता अंतर्निंहित रहती है। दान वीरता तभी कही जाएगी, जब दान के कारण दानी का अपने जीवन निर्वाह में किसी प्रकार कष्ट या कठिनता दिखाई देगी। किंतु जब तक दान देने में पूर्ण तत्परता और आनंद के चिह्न न दिखाई पड़ेंगे तब तक उत्साह का स्वरुप न खड़ा होगा। संसार में और भी विकट काम होते हैं, जिनमें घोर शरीरिक कष्ट सहना पड़ता है। जैसे अनुसंधान के लिए तुषार-मंडित, अभ्रभेदी, अगम्य पर्वतों की चढ़ाई, ध्रुव देश के सहारा के रेगिस्तान का सफर, क्रूर बर्बर जातियों के बीच अज्ञात घोर जंगलों में प्रवेश इत्यादि भी पूरी वीरता और पराक्रम के कर्म हैं। मनुष्य शरीरिक कष्ट से नहीं किंतु मानसिक क्लेश की संभावना से बहुत-से कर्मों की ओर प्रवृत्त होने का साहस नहीं करता है। जिन बातों से समाज के बीच उपहास, निंदा, अपमान इत्यादि का भय रहता है, उन्हें अच्छा एवं कल्याणकारी जानकर भी उनसे दूर रहते हैं। कुछ हानि देने वाली प्रथाओं का अनुसरण लोग केवल इसलिए करते चलते हैं कि उनके त्याग से वे बुरे कहे जाएँगे, उनका आदर-सम्मान घट जाएगा। गद्यांश से निष्कर्ष निकलता है कि?
