The President of India presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards 2025.
On May 30, President Smt. Draupadi Murmu honoured 15 exceptional nurses at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The awardees were recognised for exemplary service in public health and community welfare.
The awards include a certificate of merit, a cash prize of ₹1,00,000 and a medallion symbolising the nation's gratitude for the invaluable service rendered by these health warriors.
The award honours registered nurses, midwives, auxiliary nurse midwives and lady health visitors from government and voluntary organisations.
The recently passed National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Act will prove to be an important milestone in the modernisation of nursing education and regulatory framework.
