Tegbir Singh from Punjab has created a world record by becoming the youngest person to climb Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe.
Six-year-old Tegbir, accompanied by his father Mr Sukhinderdeep Singh, completed the climb of 18,510 feet between June 20 and June 28.
A certificate recognising Tegbir’s achievement was issued by the Federation of Mountaineering, Rock Climbing and Sports Tourism of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of Russia.
Tegbir achieved the feat at the age of 6 years, 9 months and 4 days, breaking the previous record set by a 7-year-old.
